You were not created for dualism.
The pursuit of work–life balance is exhausting because it was never the right pursuit. Work and life were never meant to be separated. We were made for work — it is God’s design. The only true division is between work and rest.
“God doesn’t need your good work — but your neighbor does.”
Not work versus life. Work, and rest.
God drew one division through our days — not a line between our jobs and our “real lives,” but a rhythm of labor and Sabbath. Your life doesn’t sit on the other side of a scale from your work; your work is one of the places your life happens. Parenting is work. Marriage is work. The garden, the ministry, the career — all of it, work.
Everything is work, unless it’s rest.
You can’t have it all. You can have what’s most important.
The better question was never How do I balance it all? It’s What do I love — and in what order? Combine life and work; the result is you. So name your loves. Order them rightly. Then build your work and your rest inside that order.

One phrase. Three meanings.
“Redeeming work” is doing three jobs at once — and all three are the point.
The Redeeming Work of Christ
The work on which all else depends — accomplished at the cross, declared in the resurrection, reconciling all things.
Redeemed Work
The labor we offer back to God — skill, integrity, and purpose brought to every field and trade, coram Deo.
The Redemption of Work
Reforming the systems, cultures, and structures that shape how human labor is understood and practiced.
